BRIEF BACKGROUND

Vosca Serv’laya is a Jedi knight who fought in the clone wars whilst she grew up and learned through the Jedi order. Due to her father leaving her when she was young she was raised by her mother who always influenced her to be kind and friendly no matter who she was speaking to. When she reconnected with her father’s side of the family that’s when things began to get complicated for her.As a Jedi her abilities were second to none and she specialised in both lightsaber combat and was gifted in using the force which allowed her to become a really good healer. Yet the only weakness to it was she was unable to heal herself for reasons unknown. Fighting was always a last resort for Vosca which landed her in a few issues from time to time.

DETAILED BACKGROUND

CHAPTER ONE: ORIGIN
[ 46 BBY — 0 YEARS OLD ]

Born on Naboo in the year 46 BBY, Vosca was the only child of Arvis Montari and Keelu Serv’laya, the former a crime lord whilst the latter was a librarian and a teacher at the Royal Academy in Theed.Vosca’s father abandoned her and her mother before she was one years old deeming that he wanted a powerful son and not a weak daughter so he didn’t have the time for either of them. Keelu however made Vosca her priority making sure she knew she was loved and was capable of proving everyone wrong.Keelu did all she could to raise her daughter alone but it was extremely hard being a single parent. When things got really tough she was actually tempted to sell Vosca in to slavery but she knew deep down it wasn’t the right thing to do and on top of that she really did love her daughter. So she kept fighting to keep her daughter fed and safe.

CHAPTER TWO: INTRODUCTION TO THE FORCE
[ 42 BBY — 4 YEARS OLD ]

At the age of just four years old Vosca began to have precognitive dreams which revealed snippets of what was going to happen in the years to come however the youth wasn’t able to understand what exactly it was she was seeing. It only became clear when Vosca described a room at the Royal Academy with vivid detail but Keelu had never taken her daughter there meaning she was having some kind of vision of either the past of present.A week later the vision she had spoke of came true and Keelu found herself in that very room with her daughter speaking to a director at the school who offered her a promotion at the academy. This promotion gave her to means to take care of Vosca without issues however she knew that given she was gifted with the force she maybe had a higher calling now.Using her access to the library she borrowed many books that spoke of the force and read then to get a better understanding of what her daughter was becoming and Vosca even began to read some of the books too which is her where her love of books began to flourish. Later on in the same year Keelu took some time off work to take her daughter to the Jedi temple on Coruscant and she was taken in to be trained as a Jedi.Even though she knew she’d miss her daughter it was the right thing to do. Before saying goodbye she told Vosca above everything make sure she stayed true to herself. .

CHAPTER THREE: LIFE AS A JEDI YOUNGLING
[ 41 BBY — 5 YEARS OLD ]

Vosca had an extremely high midi-chlorian count yet it wasn’t the highest recorded by the jedi so at first she was thought to be the chosen one but those whispers died down very quickly and when Anakon Skywalker arrived she was a thing of the past when it came to being the chosen one. Vosca was a fast learner and made quick progress through all the challenges thrown at her.She did find it hard making friends at times as often the other younglings would poke fun of her due to the fact she was a lot taller than them. The teasing didn’t really knock her spirits all that much though. When she went to Illum to obtain her kyber crystal she went about it in a calm manner and returned with haste showing off to the elder Jedi she had a great amount of composure even in the toughest of situations.

CHAPTER FOUR: BECOMING A PADAWAN
[ 33 BBY — 13 YEARS OLD ]

By the age of thirteen, Vosca was ready to take her initiate trials and despite her nature of normally staying calm she was very nervous. Her nerves heavily affected her performance meaning she passed but by the skin off her teeth. Whilst beating herself up about her performance a Jedi master named Shuh Leir had watched her determined attempts to finish the trials and for this she gave her a chance and decided to take her on as her padawan.Master Leir had some duties that she needed to take care of and rather than having Vosca wait around the temple aimlessly she knew full well she’d want to give her mother the good news so she allowed her to take a trip home to Naboo. Of course this trip shouldn’t have been allowed but the kind of master Shuh was she wanted her padawan to be comfortable and felt she should be rewarded for her success.When Vosca reached Naboo her mother met her with haste congratulating on her progress at the Jedi temple. Her mother had been making many connections outside of work and she had someone she really wanted her daughter to meet. This individual was Padmé Amidala who was in the running to become queen so formally Padmé congratulated Vosca on her progress but secretly the two arranged to meet under less formal conditions.The pair met up and shared a meal before playing some games and getting to know each other a little more which started the great friendship the pair would have. Vosca knew she could count on Padmé and they had similar morals meaning they saw eye to eye on a lot of things that happened in the galaxy.

CHAPTER FIVE: COMPLETING THE TRIALS
[ 24 BBY — 22 YEARS OLD ]

After years of working with her master on countless missions the pair building a close knit sisterly bond, Shuh knew it was time for Vosca to move on and become a Jedi Knight. Vosca had learned a lot from Shuh and she was very grateful for the time they had spent together. Of course she knew she’d still see her around but the fact the days of them operating so closely were coming to an end.Vosca decided to take an other trip to Naboo to visit her mother to tell her she as going to take on the trials of knighthood. She knew full well that after this it would be a very long time till she next saw her mother so she said her goodbyes and wished her all the best. Vosca passed the trials of knighthood confidently unlike her initiate trials and upon doing so Shuh met up with her and the pair celebrating by training before enjoying themselves back on Shuh’s home planet of Glee Anselm.After a year of being a Jedi Knight Vosca felt it was time for her to take on a Padawan of her own. The pair got along exceptionally due to their similarities and pretty much were like sisters since they both had grown up without much support or family. Vosca’s unconventional tactics and style of combat fit her padawan well so they were matched perfectly for each other.
